Following final passage of A5447 and S4282 by the New Jersey Legislature, Social Gaming Leadership Alliance (SGLA) is urging Governor Phil Murphy to veto the bills, which would effectively ban legitimate, free-to-play online social games that operate under long-established promotional sweepstakes frameworks. 

Social Gaming Leadership Alliance Pushes Back on New Jersey Legislation 

The Social Gaming Leadership Alliance (SGLA), joined by key partners and allies including VGW, B-Two Operations and the World Poker Tour, submitted testimony this week in opposition to New Jersey bills A5447 and S4282, which threaten to ban legitimate, free-to-play online social games that use well-established sweepstakes promotional frameworks.

Sly Ban Tactics, Bill Threaten Californians’ Access to Safe, Fun, Free-to-Play Entertainment

The Social Gaming Leadership Alliance (SGLA), a coalition of industry leaders advocating for the online social games industry, urges California lawmakers to uphold freedom of choice for all Californians and reject AB831, which would ban popular, free-to-play entertainment enjoyed by millions in the state and close off a potential revenue stream for the state.
